October, 2016-An update to this post: Regretfully, Alex has left the inn, moving to Nashville with her husband, Travis to pursue her nursing career. We appreciate their hard work at The Henry Clay Inn® and wish them well in this next chapter of their lives.

My name is Alexandra Clark, I am one of the Assistant Innkeepers here at The Henry Clay Inn ®. I started working here in May 2014 as a part time position to help pay my way through nursing school. After the Inn was bought by Mrs. Mason back in October 2014, I had the pleasure of being able to stay on staff and help with taking the Inn back to its prime.  I have had the pleasure of being part of many people’s lives as they either pass through for a night or stay for over a week. The Henry Clay Inn ® has become another home, even now as a new nurse I have kept my position at The Henry Clay Inn ® for it is a great outlet for creativity, a wonderful team to work with, and place I can use skills that I do not always get to use in the hospital. Since starting, I have slowly taken on more responsibility, gained a voice and learned not to be afraid to express my ideas, as well as welcomed my husband, Travis Clark, onto the team.  As the flowers start to bloom and the weather changes so too will the Inn. There are great new things happening on the horizon and we look forward to taking you on our journey.
