What is Historic Garden Week?

Historic Garden Week in Virginia is an annual event that takes place in April and is organized by the Garden Club of Virginia. During this week-long event, visitors are given the opportunity to tour some of the most beautiful historic gardens in the state. Garden week is organized and hosted by 48 member clubs located from the foothills of the Shenandoah Valley all the way to the beaches of Tidewater.

In Hanover, Virginia, the 2024 Historic Garden Week will feature a number of private gardens, estates, and historic homes that will be open to the public for tours. Visitors will have the chance to admire the beauty of the gardens, learn about the history and architecture of the homes, and enjoy the natural beauty of the area. In addition, more than 1,000 world-class floral arrangements created by Garden Club of Virginia members will enhance tour properties.

This event is a great opportunity for garden enthusiasts, history buffs, and anyone who loves architecture and design to experience the beauty of Hanover and the surrounding area. It is also a way for the community to come together and support the preservation and restoration of historic gardens and homes.
